Eco pool

For some time Nick's been thinking about maybe creating an eco-pool here - a combination of garden pond and swimming pool, where the plants keep the water filtered and sweet, and there's no need for chemicals.  It also looks a lot more natural than an ordinary swimming pool.  So today we went over into Auvergne to visit a friend of friends who has such a pool.  She had a Dutch firm build it for her a couple of years ago and it's very impressive.  Certainly gives food for thought.  The butyl liner inside it weighed 600 kilos! Nick tested the water of course, but I fear it would be too cold for me!  It even had salamanders living in it!
