Play on

Crocq is just over ten minutes away and in recent months Vincent's bar, Le P'tit Marchois has played host to these musicians who get together every Wednesday morning to practise:
Two fiddles (sometimes a penny whistle) and guitar, they play mostly traditional folk both French and British.  It makes a very agreeable accompaniment to a couple of grand cremes.

It's Vincent who Nick is writing his songs for (6 done already!) Apparently a couple have been tested out on the Clermont club scene by Vincent's DJ friend and they 'went down a storm'. Vince now has great plans to set up small monthly classical music concerts, featuring a different composer each month, in premises up the road from the bar.  Quite the entrepeneur! (Oh, sorry, wasn't it George Bush who said that the trouble with the French is they don't have a word for that?)
