HOT!

The temperature here today is 34 degrees - that's hot!  It makes you understand why the siesta is such an important part of the day in some countries!  So we went for a walk this morning when it was already hotter than we're used to, doing the circular route to le Montfranc, about 4 km, at a leisurely pace, and came back with a nice haul of blackberries, destined for a pie (which I have no intention of making until later when it's cooled down at least a little!).  In this heat we're thankful for the coolness of the house, due to the thick granite walls.
